Fall Photos with Abbie Franz Photography

As the girls get older, I feel it's more important than ever to have family photos taken each year, at least once, since they seem to grow and change so quickly.

Abbie Franz Photography is based out of Yardley, Pa and came over to take photos of the girls & I in the Spring at our house. I was so in love with how she captured the girls so naturally, I couldn't wait for her to shoot us again! This time, Abbie chose the location and she couldn't have chosen a better spot! As a Bucks County resident herself, she recommended that we meet at Washington Crossing State Park on River Rd. outside of New Hope.

Our calendars were set for a beautiful Sunday morning in mid-September and was the most quintessential day. The sun was shining, there was a slight breeze in the air and the feel of Fall was certainly present. Runners were running, bikers were biking and the leaves were just beginning to change color and drop to the ground. The scene made for a perfect subtle backdrop for our family photos!I'm always amazed at how calm and understanding Abbie is when managing my 3 crazy ladies along with Tom and I. It's evident that she's a mom herself and "gets it".

As I reprimanded the girls, combed hair repeatedly, fixed bows and bribed them with Rice Krispie treats afterwards if they would just smile and behave, Abbie clicked away and once again, captured our family in the most perfect way. Tom isn't a lover of photoshoots, but I think Abbie's way of making everyone feel comfortable shined through in the pictures. We spent about 1 hour walking around to a few different areas, in hopes of getting the perfect shots to hang on the walls in our home.

Needless to say, Abbie has done it once again! Tom and I couldn't help but smile (and maybe I was a little teary-eyed) as we looked at every single picture Abbie sent over to us after the shoot. There are so many shots that tell a story; one of family, sisterhood and love. Photos were taken that allow us to see ourselves through our daughter's eyes. Parenthood is hard. There are MANY days when I feel like I do more reprimanding than praising and the stress is more than I ever expected it to be.

Having these beautiful photos that Abbie took of our family, reminds me that the days are long but the years are short and our children won't be this little for long. I cherish my husband and daughters so much and the love we have for each other in unbreakable- these photos tell our story. Do yourself a favor before the holiday season, and book a family photoshoot. Allow someone else to get behind the lens, instead of you behind your phone, and let them tell your family's story through photos. I can promise you, you won't regret it!

xoxo
